Is a power inverter safe enough or should I just come up with the money for the battery?</p>

I have to use one in my POS because my POS laptop batteries don't hold a charge just like that.  Just pick one up at like Walmart or something and you'll be fine.</p>

You should be fine w/ a 300w inverter.</p>

Im sure everyone could borrow you a couple feet.
