<![CDATA[Taco Bell 19th ave (across from the Dome)]]>First of all, Scott, Austin and myself would like to thank everyone who has hung out at Taco Bell who has been respectfull.

While yes we have been having fun the past few weeks, the time has come to a end.

As of tonight, if you do not order food you are no longer welcome to linger, and loiter on Taco Bell's Property. If you do choose to eat at Taco Bell then you may, as long as you do not linger. You will be asked to leave, or we will be forced now to call the P.D.

Tonight was horrible. First of all there were cars there from about 7pm to close. Second when there wasn't cars there, the bikes were there. Bikes, we do not appreciate you doing burnouts right in the front of the building.

Then the driving in and out. Since when is 30+ the normal speed limit through a lot that size. Whoever drives the white vigor.. WTF!

Then remember we close at 12am on Sundays. What business lets people in after they are closed! NO ONE, especially when money is involved!

Then the good part of someone climbing our roof! WTF were you thinking! no wonder austin hit you with a water cup(not the right thing to do) but seriously why would ne one even consider that, and then threaten to throw austin off the roof! And then walk up to the glass window and punch it! By the way this was the guy riding in the Green convertible (2000 stlye)mustang with the graphics and MN license plates HLU 112

What really gets to me is that we have allowed everyone to hang out there from the end of last summer to this summer. Individuals and groups suchs as the guys from the Tintmasters shop, SLS, Roadsounds,(not just employees but the people who hang with them also) have always been respectful and generally order. They do not leave big messes in the parking lot, and do not burn out, do cookies, etc... to indanger being able to hang out there!

It is the people, who we do not know that have ruined this. To all those people who were there at close tongiht I DO NOT KNOW YOU! WHY WOULD I LET YOU IN!

So I would like to say thank you to those people who have ruined this for everyone! By the way this was not the choice of the head store manager, or owner, but made by scott, austin and myself, who are all active in the scene!

I felt somewhat bad when I got home knowing I was going to have to do this, but after reading a few other posts this evening it is the right thing to do.

just to add my .02 to some other posts,(and to follow gsr, and 99gsx)if you see us driving and start following us and driving like idiots, we will go home, we have had to many close encounters with people almost hiting us and sparying rocks at our cars! We are not trying to be dicks, stuckup, whatever you want to call it, just trying to perserve the time, effort and money we have put into our cars.

My first car was a 1991 Honda Accord EX, auto, 4 door. Not exactly the greatest platform to start with, but it was what I had when i was younger until I could afford to upgrade. What I learned from that car was so much different then the way we learn now how to swap motors, and actually knowing the answers to questions people ask. Those were when you realized you just had a valid appreciate for cars, and wanted to meet more people that enjoyed cars as much as you did. You wanted to see what people were doing, and find out what you needed to do some of the same things, and to do things different. I started in the scene in Minot with Troy, GSR, Mike, etc..... as these are the only people I know from Minot that frequent the boards here. Sometimes I just wish times could go back to the way they were. When you could take a 1995 Civic Si hatch with intake, header, exhaust, out to race, and be one of the fastest imports in town. Now things are some competitive and unrealistic. But one thing that hasn't changed over the years is that I still love cars, and I want to see things progress not take steps backwards.

When I first moved to Fargo I owned a 1990 S10 truck and my then fiance, now wife, owned a 1994 Cavalier. At Calebs first show-n-shine/bbq at Type-R I won a $50 door prize and since I didn't have anything to use $50 worth of tuner parts/labor on, I bought a 1988 Prelude, did a auto-to-manual conversion in it, dropped it on Neuspeed Springs and Tokico struts, added a short ram intake and a couple other things that were insignificant. Then I did the biggest/best mod ever, I traded it for a WRX and have spent the past 4 years getting to know my car inside and out...weighing all the pros and cons of every performance part I have ever purchased and generally trying to build the best car I can and to fit into the scene the best I can. It sucks to see the scene crumble as it has in the past few years. Thats why we started Veritas Racing, to get a group of individuals together who really appreciate the whole import culture and want to see it advance in Fargo. Yes, we as a club made a stupid mistake, we owned up to it and that issue has been resolved. Point in all of this is that so many of us have tried so hard to make for a good environment for car people in this town that its irritating being out with people who are constantly fucking off and ruining everything that we have tried to do. You MIGHT see me at parking lots hanging out, just because I like to get to know more people...but you ever notice that once the cruising starts a lot of us leave the pack....ever wonder why all the "cool" cars that are highly modded don't stay with you guys? I think the answer is obvious.

thats how its supposed to be...thats how it was with me...i was friends with mitch, joe, jim, and kirk...they all knew kevin, burgess, and tufte...i honestly owe it to the 3 i just listed for getting me into the scene whether they knew it or not...i saw them and looked up to them(prolly the reason i even ended up with a dsm) im sure i wasnt liked that much right away because i was just a stupid 15 or 16yr old when i first came to the old shop on west main in west fargo...as i hung around them more and more i just kinda listened and followed what i saw them doing and eventually bought a tuner car and really joined the scene for real...and now id like to think that i am someone people can look up to like i look up to SLS guys...i basically owe it all to them...to tell ya the truth i think what started making the scene deteriorate was "the crew"...not sure all this was needed but i was inspired by gsrs post lol

edit: i remember back before i even had my car and would ride with other people...we would drive around and look for all the cool cars that we had around...and every once in awhile we would go watch em race...racing was so different then

Mike and I always had the fastest Hondas, and we always lost to Troy. Hahah.

I remember the scene here when I first moved down... our weekends in the summer were spent @ McDonalds on main, NW Audio, Type-R, and NW Autobody. We'd cruise for a bit, bullshit for a long while, and then head out of town in an orderly fashion w/ no large groups of cars going the same direction, and we'd race for hours.

I can only WISH it was like that again....
