But I decided that my car has so much rust on it, that its not really worth storing and its practically a beater already.

My question is this, to those that drive their lowered car in winter, how many inches off the ground is your front lip and tell me your thoughts/stories/etc. Does it suck that badly?

I've driven right through snow banks built across streets that made snow pile up between the engine and the radiator. It can happen to any sport compact car. It largely depends on the driver and the tires.

How much clearance did you have? I just measured my car and I've got about 6.5 inches from the ground to the bottom of my front lip, so I'm really not that incredibly low.
