I am going to do a complete swap this winter. What do you think I should go with for the swap. I want a vtec. i was thinking a b18c1 gsr and supercharge it down the road. A type r is like 1g more for only 10hp so dont tell my to do that. I was told to go with a ls swap whicih is b18b1 i think and then put a b18 vtec head on it but then ecu and stuff will be wierd so i dont know cuz i was told that would be better for turbo then a b18c1. What does everyone think i should do? Looking to spend about 3g after it is done and running so that would be labor to estimate 500 for install. have someone to do it A little more wont kill me tho

Over there they don't have near as strict of an emissions law so there engines produce more power usually. The down side for them, (an upside for us) is that when the car gets any higher of mileage, their gov't taxes the hell out of them to run that same engine so it actually becomes cheaper to either drop in a new engine and/or get a whole new car all together. Now this is by no means etched in stone but it is a good rule of thumb. And a better warranty and more complete swap is diffinately worth the xtra $$$.
