I haven't had a chance to get new plugs or wires, or check out ignitions system period. On my last tank of gas I totalled at 19.3mpg suprisingly, and It has been getting better. Plus, with gas prices going down, I dont worry too much, I don't think I should be allowed to buy cars. I think gas milegae was a pussy excuse into convincing muyself I need a new car. I like my car, but I always either hang out with jim and kevin and want a ra(i)cer,l and when I hang out with the other aspect of my aquaintences, I want a pickup to be stupid. I need to just chill with my car I think. Maybe this is just another one of my excuses, but insurance on a 92 4 door manual should be reasonable, but I believe 110/month isn't. I know there's got to be a way to get lower rates, but my parents fuck with insurance, so If I ever approached them about it, they'd kill me. All I know is filling my tank every 3 days, and paying 110/month on insurance might be a sign. My big plan is to save up for something rally nice when I get out of hichschool, and maybe even college. I make pretty much 500/month and pay 200+ in gas, means I can save about 150 buck a month. if my calculations are right, I could buy a nice car in about 8.3 years. by then the acura will have at the rate im driving, around 240,000 miles.

The acura is sweet. If I were you, I wouldn't be too jealous. Even if they have quicker cars. Since you are a methodical schemer, you should check out this website and think about the possibilities of a 5 cylinder going "pssshhh!" between gears. I bet Nick would have a few intersting ideas as well. At least something to ponder for the future

(90 hp/ 155 torque) If I were in your situation, I would make sure the car you are driving is tuned up correctly.

WHat milage are you getting with your acura again? Have you changed the injectors? spark plugs? Rotor? O2 sensor(s)? MAP sensor? Had the EGR system checked? Is your check engine light on? Had the ECU checked for ghost codes? Blah blah blah... A lot of these things you can do yourself if you don't mind spending the time on it. Hell, I can take a look at it once I get my max out of the garage if you want.

I had an accord a while back with 130K miles on it. It was getting 20-22 MPG highway... well below spec... changed the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, installed new injectors and it gained 4-5mpg.

My max was getting about 20-24 on the highway. it also has about 130K on the motor. I changed and checked just about everything on that car. Finally replaced the injectors and it ran stronger and got better milage... last time I checked (but it's supercharged now though) it was getting about 29-30 on the highway.

So I got to thinking, why not go diesel? Cheaper and I love the 03 Golf(or Jetta) TDI's. Any thoughts on those? horsepower? 1/4 times? 0-60. All I know is it gets 43 miles/gallon on $1.70 gas. Makes sense to me!
