<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><rss xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:content="http://purl.org/rss/1.0/modules/content/" xmlns:atom="http://www.w3.org/2005/Atom" version="2.0"><channel><title><![CDATA[spun bearing...]]></title><description><![CDATA[<p dir="auto">So, today i was out with my car early like say 8 am and it ran fine, than on my way home ( say about 9:30 - 10)at the last stop sign it almost wanted to die and had a funny idle.  pulled into my driveway and it squeeled shortly than started knocking a little.  first sounded like valves were out of adjustment/stuck, but i pulled the valve cover off tonight, and turned the motor over by hand(which was very notchy and harder than normal to turn by hand), and vlaves were fine and nothing was loose up there.  My conclusion was a spun bearing.  I am pulling the pan tomorrow to check for metal shavings and to check the rods.</p>
<p dir="auto">Oh, BTW: all this happened right before i was going to leave for the track.</p>

It looked like someone basically took a salt shaker and filled it with sand sized shavings of metal and just sprinkled it all over my oil pan.  It was hard to tell tho since my pan is baffled so i couldnt see underneath that.</p>
