Since Wal Mart opened their grocery section, I have done most of my shopping there, typically making a trip over there about once every ten days.

I don't think I'll be making another trip there any time soon. The isles are always clogged with slow traffic, people seem to be more rude there, and since it always so busy parking is a bitch.

How do you feel about saving a little bit of money by shopping at Wal Mart in comparison to places like Target, KMart, Hornbachers, Cash Wise, and Sunmart? Is the few dollars you save worth the hassle?

They both have something to offer everyone. And before there was Walmart, Kmart was the scurge of big mass retail markets. And if Walmart wasn't here to bitch about, then there would most certainly be a different one. It's one big viscious cycle and there's not a damn thing we can do about it. It's not like Walmart alone is going to end America or it's freedoms nor its job market for that matter. I'm not sticking up for them either. they don't need little old me for that. What they are doing is making the most $$$ possible for as little investment possible. welcome to free enterprise and good old American Capitalism.

one would think that anyone with as much knowledge as he claims to have, he would understand how to make money using stock as nitrous and not an engine. obviously, one can make a lot of money just by buying and selling stock (warren buffet anyone?), so the comment on buying bush's company with the political change of current is accurate. at the same time, anyone that knows anything about investing knows that you're practically planning to lose money if you're only looking at the short-term. i just rolled over my pizza hut 401k with my mom's friend from edward jones (if anyone is planning on doing the same, pm me); let me tell you, in the 1yr market, more than half of the investment lines that edward jones offers LOSE, but will make anywhere from 4-17% in the 5-10 yr range.
what does this tell you boys and girls?
today's financial lesson is to stick it out for the long run with a fortune 500 company, because most of the time they won't capsize without months/years of telltale signs.
is anyone familiar with the history surrounding martin luther? started the lutheran church? anyway, in religion 100 we are watching a film about luther's life (i'll try to find out the title), and i noticed a very interesting connection to the modern world that i think applies to this thread: the roman catholic church is very similar to what i think wal-mart could turn into.
going against what the catholic church declared to be truth was blasphemous, so perhaps it's only a matter of time until buying somewhere other than wal-mart is "blasphemous?" i'm sure i can explain it better, but i think i should save that for a 5-7 page philosophy paper in the near future...

One word. Fuck you Drake. I've never met you and I've never liked you. I'm willing to bet that financially I'm 100x more stable than you with a stock porfolio that is very diverse and has NEVER seen a loss on a year-to-year basis cumulatively. So I have a shares of a company that does the things you list above....I work for a company that once had its CEO throw a $2million b-day party for his wife that the company paid for. I'd like to be able to say "yes, I just invest in churches, it will give my soul the best return on its investment" but unfortunately, I need to eat and taking care of myself and my family financially is a big priority for me. As for ENB and other oil companies....who said I'm not invested in them? Again FUCK YOU DRAKE YOU WORTHLESS MOTHERFUCKING PIECE OF SHIT!
