<![CDATA[Messed up focus]]>hey guys last night i was driving and i realized the check engine light was on, on my 2002 ford focus zx3 so i pulled over to check stuff and every seemed fine so i pull away and start driving and i push in the gas the it just rev's up when im in drive so i let off the gas and pushed it back in and it poped back into gear, does anyone if it just needs new transmission fluid or something more seroius please help me.

Gas milage was bad and it would spit and sputter some times not wanting to accelerate it was weird.

Anyway just drive it nice until you can save the money to get yourself an MTX75 its the focus 5-speed and is a great transmission if you wanna drag race due to the different gearing you can buy for it. The manual swap shouldnt be to hard in a focus and im sure there is someone on one in the focus community that has done it before. And if you want a challenge get the SVT transmission, but be warned first gear is way to long and the gearing cant be changed due to 2 final drive gears, but having a 6 speed is nice in the top end.

Well good luck dude... and I feel your pain my clutch is gone in my car right now so I dont drive it much.
