I Am A New Member To Fargo Street. I Heard About Your Web Site From A Friend Of Mine.

I Currently Own A 1987 Mazda Rx7. It Is Sitting Up On Jack Stands In My Shop. The Tranny Is Sitting On The Floor And I Am Waiting To Purchase A Cluth And Pressure Plate And Will Hopefully Have It On The Road Soon.

I Have Been Told That Even As A Stock Rx 7 It Will Be Pretty Quick. I Keep Hearing About Easy Hp From These Rotary Engines....i Guess This Rookie Will Find Out Soon.

I Am 48 Years Old And Still Have A Lot Of Muscle Car Blood In Me,,,,i Think I Can Be Convinced Of Small Engine Speed Though With Gas At $3.00 A Gallon.

Please Give Me A Yell If You Have Any Suggestions For Me And My First Attempt At Big Speed From Small Packages!!!!!

Well welcome aboard. I agree the rotary is a fun engine but reliabilty really sux, however in the RX7 I could not have another engine. I love V8s as well but only in there proper spots. I have seen V8 swaps in everything and it has become so unoriginal. I did see a Supra motor shoe horned into a 3rd gen once in one of the tuner mags. Now thats original and more of a rare swap. Anyway ya gotta go with what ever floats your boat.

If you need a clutch alignment tool i got one i just installed an act clutch this past summer. The rotary engine does have good power for its size. But if it's not turbocharged, you'll run into a performance wall really easily. There's only so much that you can feasibly do to a N/A rotary before it becomes un-streetable. They are alot of fun to drive though. Enjoy your ride and welcome to the darkside.
