Now im gunna have to install them and just want to run by you guys what i believe i'll need and if you can tell if im missing anything or not.

First the specs that i know of on the stuff:
will be buying a Pioneer 4700MP tomorrow
2 12 or 10" pioneers (no clue on model, i have pics) 400W each
1 550W (275x2) Soundstream SL552 amp

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/Dusstbuster/Picture_2407.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/Dusstbuster/Picture_2406.jpg

So here is what im thinking im going to have to do, correct me if anything else is needed or if im doing extra things that i dont need:

First ill need to get some 4ga wire to connect the amp to the battery and some RCA cables to connect the headunit to the amp

Ill also need the sosoche(sp) wiring harness to connect the 4700 to the stock wiring.

Install head unit and do all splicing/connecting needed with the harness,
Connect the amp to the headunit, done?

Any further descriptions of the install would be nice too, ill also be checking out installdr as well. Thanks!

EDIT: also, which harness would i need from all of these?
That utilizes only the tweeters for the front of the car, and no signal is sent to the door speakers (subwoofers as the mach460 wiring diagram calls them). To compensate for the loss of those we hooked up the crappy free system i got and it works great. Dont know why but before when we hooked it up the amp went into protection in both mine and my friends cars when we hooked it up, then my dad (oh mighty electrician of the family lol) did it and it works...go figure!? Anyways it sounds great now compared to before so im happy. Now ill just have to save up some $$$ and maybe take you up on your offer w/ the coaxial speakers and stuff for the future Tjamz Thanks for your help guys. I should make a picture install guide to do that because ive YET to find a clear cut install guide w/ the mach 460 system.

EDIT: it also goes to show how much of a difference it makes to sit back and take a look at things for a little bit and read through the instructions (and have a very good knowledge in electrical stuff like my dad does). Now that i look back on it..its obvious that this was the way to do it, but when i first started you coulda held a gun to my head and said "you have 10 min to figure it out" and i woulda died that day. My dad made it sound like rewiring the car would be no big deal, in fact, i had to convince him to not do his thing and splice into here and cut there and so on in order to get the 3 stock amps to work again as well haha. Oh well, good thing he's in the family.

Rewiring the car would have (likely) involved making new high pass x-overs for his tweeters as I think they are crossed over at the amp (could be wrong there, but it would make sense) and I don't think he wanted to go through the process of designing/building a new x-over system.

For exampe. Its not really to difficult, you just need the harness, and a line level converter. Alot of wiring for very little in return. Have fun my friend put his in and it was such a mess of wires it looked terrible, obviously behind your dash ;). There is just to many wires going from here to there on account of the line level, and the fact its already not one but two harnessess to begin with.

Also there is the pre-amp harness, that uses the pre-amps instead of your powered channels to send the signal to the Mach amps. This works fine unless you only have 1 or 2 pair of preouts on your headunit cause then have nothing to run your subs with.

Here is a link to more info on it.
http://www.corral.net/forums/showthread.php?t=300217

So in other words, just buy my 6x8's run some speaker wire and call it a day.:D

I saw one suggestion to connect 2 male RCA cables to the amp wires from the car and then connect them to the RCA outs on the head unit so you can use the amps...any ideas on that? I guess there is some harness thats supposed to be like the holy grail though but i have yet to find one that looks like it'd fit. Im starting to wish we hadnt soldered them so well joel lol.
