They've got a freezer full of dry ice - just tell them what it's for (or make something up) and they'll give it to you. I think it gets billed to the department that you say you're from. Tell them it's for reserch & they'll help you out.

Maybe its called something else but you should be able to look up some place that sells oxygen tanks and find out

There frozen goods usually come packed with dry ice. They did at the store I used to work at , at least. All they do is throw it away.

Pretty cheap for how much you get and how many kicks you can get out of it.

Remember to store it in as air-tight of a container as you can.

EDIT: we bought some about 3 years ago for dry ice bombs. You have to buy a minimum of 8lbs i think but its really cheap.
