Great guy, one of a list of two people I would trust to touch my car.

The Specs:

LS/VTEC bored to 81.5 with stock obd0 b16 head
Eagle Rods/all ARP goods/Cometic HG
JE Pistons; 10.8:1
JG 65mm TB
AEBS intake manifold
Password whale fallice
AN-R compact header
2.5 inch mandrel bent exhaust

I was initially running a generic tune, finally got my car on the dyno and made some pulls. This is what we ended up with:

I'm fairly pleased, the car runs 10x better and pulls a lot harder. Prior to this I pulled a 13.8 in my 89 crx HF on street tires, & I believe be picked up at least 5 hp across the boards with a peak gain somewhere around 10hp. I'm hoping this will put me in the low 13's with better driving on my part.

One more thing, the motor was built with nitrous intentions, look for 100-125 shot dp dyno comming THIS SPRING!

The biggest thing I realized on the dyno is how touchy timing can be. For you honda guys out there, don't go throw on another couple degrees thinking its automatically going to give you power. Towards the end, we were adding a degree or 2 up top and lost and easy 5hp. Also, generic tunes are BADDDD....prior to this I was getting about 20mpg, my oil actually overfilled itself and reeked of gas. This is one of the best $/hp mods you can perform. GET 'er dun!

Good rod bolts and away you go. That is all that really matters with them. That, and not having the LS head on there that is. If anybody has seen the internals of an LS head it is scary to say the least.

The biggest thing is just making sure that everything is balanced so that the motor doesn't shake itself apart at high rpm's. If you really wanted to go all out you could add a block girlde, but this typically involves using a GSR oil pickup, pan, etc.

Nice numbers to go with that helpful tune! So, you're planning on going with a decent size dp shot.....what are the goals you have in mind with that setup after tuning as far as hp, tq and e/t are concerned? Are you keeping the car now?

The A/F started at 17:1 then made there way to between 16-15:1 from 4k upwards. Needless to say it was too lean, and wasn't making much power. Timing was stock on the generic tune, so we were able to pick up about 5 peak hp with added timing up top.
