This is a very common swap for 6th gen accords since the auto trannies in them are pretty weak.

Who is town can do this type of tranny swap? Recommendations?

Just exploring my options at this point but appreciate any advice/feedback!

I say if you have the time and a place, try to do it yourself. I have done plenty of auto to manual swaps and manual to auto swaps over the years. If you can find all the parts its fairly easy depending on the car. I am not fimiliar with your car really, but doing the swap should be just all mechanical parts, I don't think the wiring will matter, but I have run into cars that have to use a wiring harness for a manual car. Either way if you figure out what your doing, and need help or someone to do it for you, I am always up for a challenge. If you go with a new automatic, I could probally throw it in fairly reasonable too.

Replacing the auto at least would not be very difficult at all. They mostly just take time. It is too bad i didn't know about this earlier because i had a friend with a 5 spd accord that he was parting out and the motor was sold so he had everything for a manual and i would guess he would have sold it for under a grand for everything. But im pretty sure it is all gone now.
