The trade is contingent upon Culpepper passing a physical, and takes Miami out of the running for free-agent quarterback Drew Brees who now could be headed to the Saints, FOX SPORTS is reporting.

Culpepper was a three-time Pro Bowl selection for Minnesota but played poorly last season before tearing three ligaments in his right knee in a game Oct. 30. He has been at odds with the Vikings over his 10-year, $102 million contract and wants to be traded.

"If a trade does not happen then I am asking the Vikings to terminate my contract as soon as possible," he said in his e-mail this week to media outlets.

Wonderlic Shmonderlic, if you pre rank him cause of some stupid test, be that way...he's still a hell of an athlete and can polish off to be a great QB. Theres no perfect positional player stud comin into this years draft...Reggie Bush has size issues, leinart and his zip on his passes, Vince of course with his throwing motion after those 3, Ferguson M. Williams, Cutler yaddy yadda will probably follow behind.

But New Orleans signing Brees definately affects where young will be drafted

That is the easiest excuse to come up with. When did Culpepper gain the most yards of any qb in league history? Yup, pretty sure it was when Moss had his worst season and missed a few games. I attribute Culpepper's failures to those more than losing Moss.

so he has been a good quarterback for three years and an average one for three years. I guess if I was Gm I wouldnt risk more than a 2nd rounder on a qb that just had three ligament tears and is iffy to have a good season even if he is healthy. good riddance to culpepper, we will see that he is average once he plays in Miami. If he has a great year ever, I will eat crow.......:icon_thumleft:
