I've done a lot of cool things for a lot of small companies using Cisco equipment.

I've been using open source products for 10 years. Second, open source operating systems work great in a server environment, this I do use them for.

Third, when high availability (read 99.99% uptime) highly scalable (read everything in a minimum of pairs) and quality are required, open source does not cut it in a lot of ways.

I would not trust my corporate traffic to a network run on anything other than Cisco products, ESPECIALLY my VPNs.

I don't question your knowledge of networking, but to just flat out say that open source is crap is a load of crap. I would think that you would know more about that.

Getting the VPN to work was no problem once I fixed the client software. Piece of cake. However, I don't think that you should even be sticking your nose into shit you don't understand.

I have a smoothwall router that I am trying to get a vpn set up with. There is a page on how to do it, but they use SSH Sentinel. I have a copy of SSH Sentinel, however when I install it, my computer can no longer get an IP address from the local DHCP server.
