A lot of them are quite stupid, this one is most likely just as similar as send this to five people/repost this within 5 minutes or you'll have bad luck blah blah blah!!
In fact, I remember seeing a flash-vid(cartoon) about a guy making fun of all this, how I will not die by 9 o'clock I will not find my love of my life, yaadada

I may be missing something but I'm pretty sure it's just to make people post something stupid, since if you repost It's not going to magically have your computer tell you the answer... that would be WAY too much codeing and a waste of time not to mention I'm not even sure it's possible to code such a thing.
