Well I have yet to find a glue that will work to fix those, so I was wondering if anyone knew of a glue to use or a upholstry shop to recover it for me that dosen't cost a arm and a leg. I do not want to pay $100 to have it redone.

Clean the cardboard and headliner then spray the stuff out of a cheap paint gun. One good coat on each one, let it tack up for a little bit then carefully stick the headliner to the cardboard trying not to get any runs in it. It's been a couple of years but I'm pretty sure that's all there is to it. Good luck

We fought with the one on our trans am for a while and then just took it down. 2 or 3 years ago we had it redone at a professional upholstery place and its been great ever since.

The "trick" is to spray it on both the cloth material AND the cardboard and let it set-up a bit before placing the cloth on the cardboard, believe it or not it bonds better when nearly dry than it does when it is wet. Read any quality can of Spray Adhesive or Contact Cement and they will tell you that.

Make sure you pick up a wire brush and get ALL the excess fabric off the cardboard...and then spray the board up and down....and back and forth. Get a friend to hold one end of the fabric up off the board, while you lay it down a strip at a time....its really easy...and worth the work!
