But of course Ethans opinion owns. I think "fast" is in the opinion of each and every individual person. Just like anything in life, its all relative to personal experience and environment. IE: If one has been excposed to certain caliber or degree of cars, or any motor for that matter, they are subjected to a higher standard. You cannot define it overall said and done. That is arrogrant, and quite frankly foolish, to define on an entire perspective and spectrum of an idea. Whenever I took out my wrx, and people will vouch for it on the street, it wasn't touched. Period. It wasn't like I was just racing crappy ol civic's either. I'm talking modded 1g/2g dsm's, mustangs, SS camaro, etc. Also I would like to make the point that I realize your not calling my car slow, but once again in retrospective, in my experience it is fast to me, and quite frankly that's all that matters. To the people who test drove my car, it was fast, to the people who have had the experience of driving my car it was fast. Simple as that.

You are absolutely correct on the bar being raised, even in the few years I have been in the "scene" it is quite obvious the standards are becoming increasingly more difficult to compete and compare with. So I won't argue you on that point.

So once again I reiterate my main idea, the idea or notion of "fast" is completely relative to one's environment, and experience, therefore when I state "I won't have a fast car anymore" I wasn't ever exposed to a high degree of motorsports, my first car in the tuning world was a 1.7 SOHC VTEC-E Equipped 7th gen civic. Definately not fast in my experience now, after driving my WRX. Now would that civic be "fast" compared to a person driving a Geo Metro? Maybe. It's all relative.

That is true, even a 600cc sport bike would destroy my wrx, especially from a roll. Oh well, I myself am not driving that fast anymore nor is there any need for me to so I don't imagine why I should

I wouldn't mind a motorcycle, but I kind have to realize I live in Fargo North Dakota, I could drive it 3-5 months out of the year. Want a decent bike, need to get a loan? Put full coverage insurance since you have to if the bank can put a lean on it, doesn't make sense to throw away money like that. The escalade is an extremely sweet deal (used from the people who own Eide dealership in Phoenix, AZ, it was their personal car and they sold to our family MANY MANY commericial/residential cars, plus they golf together lol) , I guarentee I will lose NO money on it if I keep the car and sell it within 2 years. Minus the insurance and other expenditures of regular oil changes, maint, and gas.

I wouldn't mind having a project car, considering I'm done with school this spring I'll have a bit more time even being an FTE (Full Time Employee) might look at a 240SX or old school Honda. But that's all idea's for now. I became quite the budget freak lately, it's all about investing profiteering your money to me now.

Now there is nothing wrong at all having a fast car, tuning on it, whatnot, that's your passion, your enthusiasm which should be commended not scolded. It's just that I have a conflict of interests, I would like to have a car that I can mod, go fast, do whatnot, but I also would like to have enough money to raise capital for certain investments I plan on doing this spring. Investments w/ outrageous ROI's on minimal yields. When your young exactly the ages of 23-33 they say, it is those 10 years that determine the rest of your life most financial anaylsts will say, and quite frankly they are correct. I want to retire early

If you guys must know I am most likely purchasing a Cadillac Escalade EXT (Truck) since I have a very very very good deal on one, which allows me to spend some money on other accesories (IE: Big A$$$ Rims, ICE, etc) so no more fast car for me, just bling bling
