I took it to 13th ave auto repair and they looked at it for about 1/2hour and all they could tell me is that its not a head gasket and theres a small chance of a coolant leak. < which makes no sense because i filled it 2 days ago and its still full. The motor is a 2.5L V6 24v DOHC. If anyone could give me some input on what they think may be the problem that would be great.

That's my first suggestion.

The thermostat is a mechanical device that regulates water flow through the block to keep a consistent temperature, it would have no affect that I can think of on your fans engaging.

If its stuck closed coolant is not being cycled through the radiator and therefore overheating the engine.
