<![CDATA[WTB winterish 5spd]]>I'm going to possibly be looking into getting another winter beater besides the bonneville, being as that is on borrowed time I believe. Anybody have any non AWD dsm's or cheap AWD dsm's w/ 5speeds or any other type of 5speed FWD/AWD/4x4 vehicle for reasonably cheap, around $1500.

better motor than the 5.0 and more efficient than the 5.8. Only thing to watch is the 5spd. Guess they can have some issues if not maintained.

Worst part about that generation F150, like I said before, is finding a solid body. But, find one 'solid enough' and it'd probalby be a good truck. (I nearly had a F250 300I6/HD ZF 5spd but it acted up on the test drive a bit then wouldn't start when I went to buy it)

Those 300 I6 motors are supposed to be nearly indestructible. I tried to find one 3 years ago but could never find a 300-6/5spd truck that was clean enough for my standards.

I drove it last winter and it started everyday but it's not really feasible due the fact I'm going to school 300 miles away next year.
