<![CDATA[Interstate dragway Sep 10th Last Street Legal races of 06]]>Im sure most if not all of you know the 10th is the last street legal race event of 06 at the Interstate Dragway. This is just a reminder to people who may forget or not know. Make sure you go check it out lets just all hope it wont rain. Post a reply if your going and what you will be racing if you will be.

p.s This is for the posers out there who have nothing better to do than smash everyone. I relise I have a grand am. Im not going there to throw down cause I know im slow. Im going there to have a good time and see what numbers I have befor the engine swap in my car. So keep your comments about my car to yourselfs please. True racers dont smash the under dogs

I wanted to see if the car would hold up to 16-18psi on the stock internals with a good tune, which it did, but I ran slower. I started out running a 13.6 at 104mph with 9psi. At the end of the day I decided to try 17 psi for a bit. My slicks were far to small and spun like crazy through the gears so I tried Shafers. BIG DIFFERENCE. Bogged out of the hole and ran just as slow. All in all it was still a good day.

So what kinda times did everyone get/ who wrecked?

The basic seat belt, battery fastened down and no junk laying around in the car. I get through tech so anyone should long as you have the above taken care of.

A spun rod bearing is the worst I expect. I usually wait untill the end of the day to push the car. I know I hate having to wait for a track cleaning so I wouldnt want to be the cause of that.
