The cop said my exhaust was too loud, my car isnt even half as loud as some of the cars and bikes around here, plus I wasnt even reving on it or nothing like a lot of the idiots driving around. Shit back home if I wanted to I can rev the piss outa it with cops around and no ones ever bothered me. Anyways I ended up getting a fix-it ticket for it, meaning I have to make it quiet (to whatever the cop happens to think quite is that day, meaning no way i'll pass cuz they'll prob be a dick bout it) in 2 weeks and get it tested or pay a fine (which i cant really afford right now). I just think this is bullshit and save the pulling over for the idiots with straight pipes reving the shit outa there cars or bikes all the time. Also, is there any cheap or free way to quiet it out long enough to pass?

IMO what you should do is get something to resonate the sound (i.e. a glasspack) and then get a normal fartcan or w/e end muffler you wanna get. be the cheapest route for ya. Just have them put piping where your muffler is now, have a glasspack installed in front of the rear axle, then the muffler. I wish I woulda put a glasspack in my del sol...granted my car is just fine and you cant tell i have an exhaust goin down the highway, it still is quite loud when i get on it.
