<p dir="auto">Throttle body?.......On my 1.6 there is. Notsure on the 1.8 though. I would assume so.</p>

Go to <a href="http://www.miata.net" rel="nofollow ugc">www.miata.net</a> that is full of info and will be an easy fix. The nice thing is that it is not an interference engine so it wont very likely bend valves. But I would do the timing belt and water pump while your in that far. Speaking from experience. Oh, and a Haynes manual is gonna be your best friend.</p>

<p dir="auto">as far as checking the head, mazda, or any off the engine builders in town should be able to do it</p>
