I dont know current market numbers but they are still up there. It isn't like they went the way of Sega, Jaguar or others. They have money to spend and plenty of ways to take chances. Nintendos main objective is to "revolutionize" the gaming industry once again. Bring back the old players (as of myself since I dont play nearly as much as I use to). Sales are down for all from what I have heard and they wanna get everyone back in the game.

I really like the fact that they havn't increase the cost of the new systems since the N64. All three released at $250 from what I remember. And from what I remember, both PS1 and PS2 were released at $300. Xbox is a different story since it is the "new" system.

I decided to come back to New Rockford for the weekend so right now I'm on my parents computer.
I'm filing for the big chapter 7 so internet and cable are not on the top of my priority list right now. Things should be sorted out soon then I'll get hooked up.

And to stay on topic.
I think the price is the big issue with the PS3, but the PS2 wias quite spendy at first also and people still bought them. Christ, I remember people trying to get $5K and $10K for the PS2's when they came out. The Wii is a cheaper alternative for only $250 though. I just feel that Nintendos glory days are behind them ending with the super nintendo, the handheld market, though, is another story.

November 17th. And yes, I too love the PS brand but the increase in price is a killer for myself along with the majority of the rest of the world. Ill shell out $600 eventually, once I'm actually making the inflated equivalent worth of my income. Or when the price drops. Or when I win the lottery.

I'll spend the extra $$$ for a PS3. The Wii's gimmicks will wear off pretty quick I think. Just like the game cube it's aimed towards "younger" players not serious gamers. I will give props for the idea of a motion sensative controller but not for the fact that it may be hardest controller to use or at least get used to since the original xbox came out. Time will tell though, time will tell.
