<![CDATA[5MGE Problems]]>Ran alright when i bought it. Did a little drifting in it. Still ran. Drove it on some errands. Ran fine. Parked it over night and the next time I go to start it it sounds like it running on 1 cylinder. I couldn't keep the idles up at all and it just kept on dying and now it will turn over just won't start. Quarter tank of gas. Car does have 230000 miles. Any ideas of why it won't start?

First my fuel pump went out then I later found out why it failed, rust from the fuel tank had clogged a pre-filter in the fuel line about a foot away from the tank just before the fuel pump. Do you know if your fuel pump is in or out of the tank?

but having half of the oil in it that it should, and that oil being hella old, and more than likely old plugs/wires/dizzy and old gas probably wouldnt be to great.

I would go through that thing replacing anything you can find(water pump timing belt, plugs wires etc.

well, you went "drifting" with it, did you happen to run it up in the RPM range? That car isnt made to rev up like that.
