Its just sitting in a field, I could probably pick this thing up for a couple hundred dollars. Its a friends car. The issue with it is that it isnt running due to a bad head on the car. I was thinking if I could get this thing cheep enough and fix the head, maybe turbo it. Now here is my question... Would I be better off finding a turbo'd motor from a TSI GSX Etc. and installing it?(what would this all involve?) Or should I fix the head on this one and then get the things necessary to turbo the current engine. (If i go this way, Could I use the turbo parts from a TSI?) What would be the over all easiest and most cost effective? All serious advice is welcome!! Thanks in advance!!

oh, and id plan on more than $4K if you are a highschool student. I assume you dont have all the tools and resources necessary to perform this swap. It isn't an easy one by all means.

+1 Why start behind the game already with 2wd when you can buy one with AWD? If your going to swap in a turbo motor you might as well put in an intercooler and other goodies while your at it.

It doesn't just bolt into an NA 2G. The 420A motor can be built and turbo'd, but it's worth is still questionable. I wouldn't recommend this unless you were absolutely in love with the car. I'd find something else if I were you.
