Its no different than people saying the Packers or the Vikings suck after one of them beats the other really, because in all honesty some years the best team doesn't always win. I'm pretty sure Scott was trying to get under some peoples skin with his comment is all, you will always get comments like his when you have die hard fans of any one particular team beating the other team. If happens, life goes on, Gophers suck, etc, etc, etc.....

Going back farther than this is pointless...going back more than 4 years is as well since there are few (if any) players on the teams that were on the teams 4 years ago as well....but I threw it all in there so MN fans wouldn't come back and say "well, we won it back to back in 2002-03, you must have left it out on purpose"
