Ya never really know what its like to have something catch fire until it actually happens.

I had a close one today. While cutting the bolt off of some rusted rear suspension of a old camaro, one of the sparks ignited the grease and oil catch pan that sits in my lift. That burst into flames and started to melt the plastic pan, it turn spilling buring oil on my garage floor and starting some plastic on fire under the camaro. This all happened withing seconds, I mean as soon as the pan burst into flames within 10 seconds the fire was huge. I was lucky and had 2 fire extinguishers close and managed to get the fire put out, but holy shit, fire is a bastard.

Well the outcome of the fire wasn't that bad, oil on the floor, extinguisher powder all over the place, 2 melted oil catch pans, and a few holes in my shirt.

Well I guess I will be more careful next time. :icon_thumleft:

I'd be more worried about extinguisher powder than anything (at this point). Make sure that it did not get on ANYTHING electronic or you can pretty much be assured it will corrode it horribly. FWIW, I would be happy to sell you a clean agent fire extinguisher that will not damage anything and is safe to breath.

Ya I need to get new extinguishers now, the ones I had are that power crap and damn that shit sucks, makes a mess and tastes like hell when it blows back at you.

Note to self, don't buy a used additional injector controller.

Yes, it lets the hot air out of the engine bay.
