What do you do when you are actually working? How much does it pay?haha sorry I forgot to explain that better...basically just keep the product on the floor full all day and rotate/go through a lot of it in the morning. There's minimal cleaning etc like pretty much any job. The good thing about being in a department is the fact that you aren't the bitch of the store. As a general rule, produce has a rep of being the lazy department in the store. Oh, we do cut/package vegetables and fruit. As a part timer, you wouldn't do it a whole lot because the full timers do it most of the time. I don't think I've done it for like 3 months. Um, eat free produce? lol We help out on the order if you're there in the morning. To be honest, I'm not sure how much they'll be paying someone, but it's not great but it's not horrible either...I'd guess $7.50 starting maybe? First raise after like 2 months or so...

I worked produce at Hugos in Jworld and its definately an EASY job, all the grapes you can eat and i had no problem with getting paid while taking naps on the peanut boxes.

To be honest, I haven't seen any bad spiders, I've only found some in the grapes from California and they were tiny and REALLY slow from being cold. They could have been dangerous for all I know but I just killed em. I have gotten HUGE moths in bananas though...cacoons too. Seen some cockroaches too, just at Cash Wise tho...those things are QUICK when they see light...

I've heard about there being big scary spiders in bananasWerd, when I worked at Cash Wise, we got a call that a guy at SunMart just found a Black Widow(who knows what it actually was before it made it to us) and got bit. It still scares me sometimes because I don't even pay attention when I'm filling them. If I see anything weird I check it out. The real banana spiders are harmless but the ones that are also nicknamed "Banana Spiders" are one of the most deadly spiders on the planet, ask some of the vets from Vietnam. They are aggressive as hell too meaning they will attack you and not be afraid...
