Good race (couple weeks old)

Since I can't post in "kill stories", I'll put this here. A couple weeks ago, my friend Ryan actually made it to Fargo with his '87 Camaro. The kid works 500 hours a week so him getting up here is rare. Anyway, we got him a race with Arden. Arden was on slicks, Ryan was on radials. Arden got him out of the hole and kept a 2-3 length lead for the rest of the race. Not bad considering Arden ran 11.2 at the track. Ryan is tring to make it to the track this year to better his 10.8. He was also the Chevy diesel that ran 14.4 last year.

he's from NC right? my friend's G/F works out at Dilworth DQ and was sayin that and i didn't know where he was coming from and i didn't think there was one around here so i didn't believe it at first. i thought she just meant there was one sittin in f-m area and no one knew about it. his sis works at DQ right?

If you get a chance to see the car(Camaro), take a look. He made the intake manifold himself, did the motor assembly, made the exhaust by welding 32 individual mandrel pieces, by himself, with the car on jackstands(that's laying on his back!), put in his own cage, has the race seats mounted on the factory power seat assemblies(power race seats), and tuned the DFI himself. He also painted the car! Not bad for someone that works on a farm all day and has no formal training. The car is the best hooking RWD car I have ever seen(on the street, on radials). Ryan is also the nicest guy and will talk to anyone about cars. If you see him, the license plate is ILLROCU.

Sounds like a great race, maybe a red 6 cylinder car can get into this action?Dave, I've wanted you and Ryan to race on the street for so long. It would be a very good race. Either both on slicks or both on radials. We tried to get Kevin or Nate to race that night, but both their cars were down.

oh well then this isn't the same guy, a girl at DQ has a brother coming from NC and he is suppose to be running 10's in his camaro and i didn't believe it, but i guess i kinda have to if there is one from around here that runs 10's lol
