Need onpinions on lap top

Dell has a good onsite warranty too after you get past their India customer support.
HP's as far as I've seen/heard you have to mail in for warranty work.
The trick to getting off the phone with Dell support in a hurry is to just be real specific and to the point with what is wrong.
They try and t/s over the phone sometimes depending on the issue and if you don't know much about computers you'll be in for a long phone call. -
I just email them and tell them whats wrong and they reply, Ok Tony, parts on their way and a service center will call you when they get there(usually next day). Now they have chat which is effective too. Never had any problems with them except they wouldn't give me a new keyboard until I ran diagnostics to prove my keyboard was bad(wtf I don't need diagnostics to tell me what keys are dead). If you don't get all the options you want right away, just buy a processor later etc...laptops are fairly upgradeable, moreso than most people think.

It's small, but when you find em, its annoying as hell. Home doesn't like to network etc. I'd be glad to give you a legit copy of Pro if you happen to get a computer with Home.

Why? I highly doubt that.
Pro: Remote Desktop, Multi-Processor Support, Automated Recovery, Higher Encryption for Files, Network Domain Support...
The only thing I can think of is that you need to use the domain support, but I don't know of any college or university that will require that as 80% of the users are going to have home edition, while the other 20% consists of mac users... lol
I have Home on all of my computers right now and the only thing I miss is remote desktop, but I have Real VNC for that...
