So, if you bought this car for $1500.00...... Then why does it have a current bid of over $2000.00?

I e-mailed him and told him I would give him 1500. Said he would go for it, gave me his number and I just replied to him to take it off ebay and I will arrange for the cash and the pickup.

Werd. Good luck, you should do a D-series turbo kit! Our hatch went 11.90 on the stock motor :).

Yea, I would love to get it boosted. Obiviously if you look at it, it looks like its got just an SOHC in it right now. where can I find a good jdm D-series motor and tranny and about how much will that cost me...(I am going to have over 6K to pour into this project)

Well that D-series hatch that went 11.90 was a SOHC. 🙂 Just source a USDM D16Y8 Motor and tranny.

Just suttle shit. I think the intake manifold is a little different and the tranny has steel shift forks. Our 405whp hatch(runs 11.30s now) is a built bottom end Z6 actually. If you really are going to spend $6k on top of the car, you can have a pretty seriously little hatch.

well, 250whp is attainable stock...reliable...meh...not really IMO for DD. build the bottom end like kevin's car and tune it @ 250whp and you shouldnt have any problems.

Our hatch had 250-260whp and went 11.90. Honestly, if you have the money, I'd build the bottom end. Especially if it is going to be your DD.

Otherwise, I kinda doubt you bought it. If I've got a car going on ebay for 2006.00 and 28 people have bid on it and there is still 1.5 days left on the auction, why would I take 1500 for it?

Instead of being an ass why didn't you just tell me? You could have just corrected me and everything would have been dandy...yes, I know I'm a noob...give me a few weeks..
Besides, it looks like he isn't going to take it down and I have decided that I am just going to wait till I get down there to find a car seeing as how there is literally hundreds of cars to choose from...

I think its not such a good idea to be talking smack about being an STI killa when you openly admit to being a N00b.

The reason DarkElvis is concerned about you is that all honda d-series (with the exception of one crap engine) are SOHC. So you said you don't want SOHC but want d-series, its somewhat of a problem.

Don't get me wrong, turbo d is probably the way to go, it just sounds like you need to do your homework.

                                          They call me, old man...
