make sure you call and ask about package specials. I get 2 digital receivers, all the basic channels + the "digital advantage" pack (it has speed/military/g4 and a few cartoon channels for the kid along w/ ESPN News, ESPN Classic, etc...) bundled with high speed internet (3Meg) for under $100/mo. Granted, being a new customer you COULD get into the 29.99/mo (per service you pick up...Internet, Cable, etc..) for 6 months deal they have now and come out ahead of my deal.

dont you have ethernet in the dorms? and I thought that cable was included too? at least back whenI went to UND I had them both in my dorm. Anyways, I hardly ever have problems, but then again, im only on early in the morning and late at night. They are only down maybe once every 3 weeks or so for me. As for price, they are really high, but comparitivly DSL/Qwest is about the same price (unless you have a lan-line then it is better). Us being we have 2 cells in the family, it would cost way too much to go to DSL right now with Dish TV.

if there are 3 of you.... ask them about their top of the line connection. prolly like 100 bux a month. which would then be 33 a month for each of you. (33 cents from each as well... but stfu lol)
i unno... i know my buddy has the 2nd one up and its nice. but if 3 of you split up the bill... i'd go as high as i can...

that sucks that they went to a "limit"....i suppose it is to help against file sharing (or piracy so to speak).

yea.. its pretty gay... cheap ass's lol

IMHO, go with the digital advantage pack... Digi cable, 3mb connection and DVR for under 100 a month, I just got the basic package for now(basic cable and 3mb connection) for 61.50/month i think i'm gonna upgrade pretty soon tho, DVR and digi cable would be pretty sweet, I had dish at my parents house, and I liked it better than basic cable... I think if i dont upgrade after my lease it up with them, i'll go to dish and DSL, and save myself some money

the digi pak with the DVR's runs me $127 a month. sucks that they charge an extra $10 each DVR receiver, but they are well worth it. As for the internet, I believe the best package they have is $29.95 a month for 6 months with 3 meg connection. I believe it goes up to $39.95 afterwords.

I hate cable one. You know how their big thing is "we don't raise our rates like the sattelite companies".....well, we signed up with them while they were doing some promotion where we locked in our (non-digital channels 2-63ish with about 20 blacked out) cable and 3meg internet for like $57 a month (after charges/taxes/etc...). We were told that after 6 months it would go up like $10ish. No big deal. Now after those 6 months it went up to $69. Then it sat there for a while, 2 months later it went up again, and again, and again, and again. Now it's been 1 year and 3 months and we now pay $98/month for cable and internet. I went in and asked them about it, and they didn't have any clue as to why it kept going up. I did the math in my head and digital/internet came out to being cheaper than this so I asked them about that and they quoted me a price of like $127/month "for the first 6 months". Kiss my ass, I wish we had midcontinent here....digital cable with a TON more channels than cable one, home phone line, and cable internet for $99/month.
