Ya no kidding! It's not much better up there. (My roommate went up 2 weekends ago and is going up again this weekend to hit up the clubs and the last time he went they saw a stabbing; fights, pepper spray in a bar.... "Bowling for columbine" made it sound like Canada was so great; not diss'n Canada but it's not as great as they may seem...) I however have been there 3 times or so and I think it's fun as hell; just wouldn't live there I think.. (TOO COLD!)

Yes, I am a sore loser and here's why: The ceo at the company I work for is/was looking forward to Bush being re-elected so he could cut jobs and union bust without getting any backlash from the Bush administration. Sounds sweet right, more lost well paying jobs?

Yes, this election proved that the majority of Americans are "Hillbillies". Deal with it. Fa shizzle, bizzle. I guess if you can try to talk like a gangsta and vote Kerry, you obviously proved that you are no hillbilly. 😛

Try a different company. I have by far more job security now than ever before.

I don't try anything I just do it. 🙂 Sorry to smear up this thread Dave, that was pretty damn funny. And Hando, you should know anger is one of the first steps of the mourning process. 🙂 If I could make as much money doing anything else I would get another job. And it's not my job that it's in jeopardy, it's the people hired after me. I don't want to get into details anymore, let's just say the cut in jobs puts more of the nation at risk than anyone wants to know.

Look on the bright side; if you are mad that Kerry wasn't elected and hate bush; you only have to put up w/ it for 4 years.. No 3rd terms..

Here is my thing with the post election situation: I am so sick of people getting carried away with bitching and moaning about who won/lost. Get over it and move on. I have said before and will continue to say it, if John Kerry was elected, I would support him. I may not agree with what he has to say but I wouldn't target the people who voted for him. Personal attacks on people because they have differing opinions is foolish and immature. Every American has their right to choose. You win some, you lose some. Next election, get out and use your energy on voting and encouraging others, not waiting until the election is over to begin a pity party.

True that Hando; True that! I was hoping this would all come to an end when the election was over... They all have good & bad aspects... A politician can say they'll do something and promise things, but may not actually follow thru w/ them; so ya!

Well this whole economy is based upon the "dollar bill" Crap today alone we were even talking about Prostitution and how it was leagal today in Sociology (but not on the streets) only reason they let it be legal is to tax it & make $$; Can't "Tax" street hookers. 🙂 haha Neways our society is so selfish... I don't think it'd matter too much who was Pres. most of the govt. & business's would still be greedy...

EDIT Prostitution is only legal in Nevada (and not in the town of Las Vegas; but on the out skirts) Regulations must be followed too; weekly Aids testing etc. BTW; I'm sure it's spendy to get your rocks off out there; but when ya hit it big at the casino haha who cares 😃

Had it not been for labor unions using their power, we *probably *wouldn't have many of the benefits we take for granted today such as sick leave, funeral leave, vacation time, holiday pay, overtime pay (though bush is pretty determined to take it away....I lost mine), health insurance, workers compensation, disability insurance, etc, etc, etc.....

I'm not saying Unions are perfect, look at the NHL for a union gone bad... But they are great for negotiating for their workers.
