97 gmc safari > your honda

I bet if you had AWD you would have more control. I willing to bet you punch your gas to get traction. Did hook up and slid into that curb more or less.

Im not going to blame it on the 18's if you truely have them. I driven fwd through ND winters. I could see this easyly happening.

why do people read this and post the most obvious information...here's a quick overveiw:

"shouldve been smarter...performance tires and ice dont make a good combination" no way!

".....if you had winter tires and stock rims why didnt you just throw em on quick?" I bet if he could tell the future...he wouldve done this!!

"I bet if you had AWD you would have more control." really, awd is that good?

Sounds like you dont believe that he has 18's. And 4wd/AWD is great but gives false sense of security.

It gives a false sense of security to those who do not use proper care and think that 4wd makes them invincible.

4wd/awd is a wonderful thing provided that you respect it and drive carefully.

              true that.

Also not matter what drivetrain you have tires have an affect. i would almost drive the 240 all winter before my dads truck cause the tires that are on there suck, period

exactly. Most 4wd/awd owners think that they own the road and drive horribly (not to be stereotypical but most of them are SUV's driven by chicks). Any vehicle will be good on ice/snow as long as you know how to drive it (as with any vehicle and drive within the limits it can handle) and have a good set of tires. Snow tires are among the best security investments you can have for yourself and your vehicle during the winter months up here.

Well, I hit a curb and also cracked my rim, plus both lower control arms, wheel bearing flange and the strut. Ya, $1050 Lunde wouldn't even work on it.

That kind of sounds like when I power-slid into a curb with my Escort back in high school. I bent the wheel, strut and hub assembly. $100 and I was back on the road. 😄 Cheap Escort parts FTW
