        The easiest way to tell if its a VR4 is look at the front brake calipers. If it says "Mitsubishi" on the caliper its a VR4. The non-turbos have open calipers like the calipers on turbo DSMs.

        But even a BPU 3000GT VR4 will run high 12s/low 13s in the quarter mile. I doubt the kid would have mods beyond that.

            out there i am pretty sure he knows what he's talkin about on vr-4's or 3sx's in general...

                  i suggested the differential because it has to be a vr4 then. not saying that the calipers make it any less of a vr4, but this is another way to tell for sure. sorry, i didn't mean to "sound" rude when i responded, it just came out that way

                    and if it has a 6 foot aluminum spoiler that looks like it doubles as a fuggin ham radio to Germany and Eastern Europe, it's probally not a VR4 either 🙂

                        I think VR4s are the only ones that have active aero (sp) plus you can also tell by the lack of boost gauge on the upper console.. it is replaced by a useless voltmeter......and by they way id love to race his "VR4" Id like to see if my, as super street put it, "..bastard anemic little brother the Dodge Stealth" can keep up with a japaneese super car.

                          There is almost no difference in the stealth and 3kgt. The only difference is in looks and styling. The engines and drivetrains are exactly the same as they are both mitsubishi. Also if its 94 or newer it doesnt have active aero. Mitsubishi built a lot of dodges motors for them including the new SRT-4 Engine. Infact Daimler Chrysler owned 64% of Mitsu's Stock but recently sold it due to their decreasing sales and increasing debt. If its a real VR-4 and its stock and your stock its all going to be the driver, and watching the way those kurds drive you should be able to smoke him.

                            I dont know.. if its a second gen hes running 12 stock psi....... I think he has an advantage to my first gen 8.5 psi...any takers????

                                  Either way, I don't think the dude would stand a chance to alot of us that race for money. 😄 The way you make him sound when he talks, he probably doesn't have anything under the hood. But there's always the possibility of the bottle to back up his mouth some.

                                      in all reality the bottle is a waste of time on a car with a factory turbo, there is more power to be had (and safter power) turning up the boost, and doing some tuning then there is on a nitrous
