That's awesome thanks Wes. I'm guessing you can't do that with an E-815 I didn't see anything on there about them, and it doesn't look like any type of usb cable can plug into them. If anyone knows different let me know

I did a bunch of that stuff to my RAZR - found it on www.hacktherazr.com . I enabled it to be used as a dial-up modem for my latop. So now when I'm driving down the road I can have free (pay for airtime minutes only) internet access.

HowardForums.com ANy new phone can be modified using Bluetooth or a USB cable, and a Program Called bitPim. I did it on my 9800 and my chocolate... U can also transfer your pwn phone book, save your text on your computer, make your own ringtones... You name it...

You sure can. I exploited everything on my V710 and they are pratically the same phones.

What kind of usb cable can you use for that? I haven't really looked but it didn't look like any cable I have seen would work besides bluetooth, just wondering

Just any USB to USB mini plug works. I'm using the one from my digi cam. The same one is used for my Camcorder as well.

They make a special USB cable for the old Motorola charger style. It fits completely in the bottom port on the phone. It is NOT the mini-USB style :). Ebay will be your friend for this one.

I did the wireless - hack, seemed pretty simple..
Only connect at like 230.4k
Didn't see any really FAST speeds.. D/L speeds like 20-30 Kb/s roughly.
But it's not bad for pretty much 'Free' and yes, it is faster than dial-up.
I can't ever seem to get p2kcommander to work...
Anyone else have any luck with any of the programs like that?
Btw, I use verizon.
