Of course. It's to make some fat cash on some poor sap on here. Just like everyone else doing it, he's trying to inflate the value of something to make big profit.Lots of people do that on ebay as was already mentioned in this thread. If I had the money that was readily spendable such as the above example, I would have probably done the same thing. Probably would have taken that money and turned it into a nicer car...

In my eyes, it's no different than when a cars value goes up unnessesarily when it's seen in a movie. (The Fast n the Furious ring a bell?) If a car like my Miata was on there, there's no telling what it's value would be and I never would have been able to afford one. I can do nothing to stop it but I don't agree with it. Just take it to Ebay where it belongs.

well then you better sell it for what you paid. Or go to ebay. Why? Just because you won't pay over $600 for it, doesn't mean there isn't someone else that would. A buyer on eBay could very easily be a member on this site, and has been looking for one. I guess I don't get why he CAN"T sell it on here for a profit. If you don't want it then fine, don't buy it! Remember just because YOU won't doesn't mean someone ELSE won't...
Give thanks for our freedom!

I know Jared (mybadga) personally and I think I can speak to his character a bit. He's a good guy who was lucky enough to be selected to buy a PS3, so he did. He placed it on ebay (as he indicated) but thought that maybe, just maybe someone local would be interested in buying it so he placed it on fargostreet as well. Does that make him a bad person by offering it on here for more than he paid for it? I don't think so. It wouldn't be any different than me putting up my sports card collection that I have maybe $5k invested in for $25k on here or anywhere else. The great thing about this free society that we live in is that we are allowed to attempt to make a profit on our belongings. More power to Jared if he can.
Good luck with the sale man.

Probably has a better chance with Ebay, it's not big, so shipping shouldnt be bad. Not saying it wouldn't necessarily sell on the forum, but he has a better chance on making a better profit off of Ebay

Oh, no doubt he has a better chance, I actually commend him for offering it to someone local who might be interested first though.
