2003 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. The car currently has a hair over 23k miles on the vehicle. The color is Rally Red. The only option this car has is the power sunroof option. This Lancer is also equipped with a 3M clear bra on the front nose Now on to the modification list

      • HKS 264 Cams
      • Pruven Front Mount Intercooler kit w/ Polished hard pipes
      • Unorthodox Cam Gears
      • 3" Turbo back Exhaust
      • Apex'i Super AFC II (untuned, zero'd out)
      • Drycell Lightweight Battery
      • Cone Filter Induction

      Now the bad-
-The rear left tail light is developing condensation from crack (will replace tail light before sale)
-The left a-pillar panel will need to be change because of holes drilled for tripe gauge pod which was removed from previous owner. (has three holes in it, but panel can be purchased and replaced)

      • The dimmer switch went bad on the vehicle so the instrument panel is not adjustable at the moment.
      • Wheels do have some curb rash
      • Check engine light on (most likely from Downpipe)
      • No original trunk mat and missing a few panels in the trunk from previous owner
      • Clutch will probably not last too long with these mods on there.
      • Windshield has a small a chip (may or may not pass MD state inspection depending on who you take it to)

The sale of this vehicle includes the stock cam gears, stock camshafts, air box, and stock injectors

      The VIN Code: JA3AH86FX3U085948
The price is set at $18k/obo

      Car located in Reisterstown, MD

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

Go drive both of them, if you can. See which one you like better. Everyone is going to tell you different shit about each.

the to me the big thing is drivetrain bias. subie's are RWD biased, and like zac said, the engine is in there the right way. Evos are FWD biased, and the STI has a WAY stronger clutch and trans. the tranny is the main reason mitsu got so uptight on their warranty with the evos. It would be SOOOOOO gay to have to spend $2K+ on a trans upgrade after you just laid down $20g's on the car.

You ever try and get a Subaru tranny warranteed? SOA was declining warranty coverage on wrx's that had ANY mods, including dealer installed STi cat-backs, during 2002-2003. Dunno if this got better recently though. The STi 6 speed is a solid tranny, but I do know people (locally) who have had problems with theirs.

Ask kirk about his STi transmission being SOOOO strong....

They are both nice cars, but you guys that are saying the STi is way better, need to drive both.

but fuck it, just buy a 335i instead.
