What is wrong with Fargo's car scene...

I may be a n00b here, but I already see what is wrong with the scene in this town. People you would consider your friends backstab and talk shit behind your back. How does that help the scene grow? It is very discouraging to new people because of how closed off a lot of people are, and they don't let you in until you are "somebody". I understand working for you respect, but damn, no one will even talk to you unless you have an 11sec car or spent thousands on something. There is just so much wrong with the way the scene works in this town, and it all starts with "friends" backstabbing each other or talking shit. What do you guys think?

I don't know about all of that. I've been out a few times in a shitty stock car and people still talked to me, there were deffinatly those people out that would look at me like I was breaking some law being there, but they were ussually the ones driving like idiots anyways.

i agree with you 100%... i hve experienced the whole "fake" friends thing.... thats why i just said fuck it.... i think i posted my feeling about this earlier in a older thread about this topic.... -

you know, Just looking into this I think we have all made a thread on here similar to this, weather we were just bored looking to start some conversation. or we had a lagitamate gripe. so "ricer" this is not a new issue and you're not alone. it's an on going issue.
and on a side note, now I know how some of you guys post so much, jobs where you sit at a comp all day. I feel like I'm whoreing every thread now, just out of boredom at work.

True. I'm 16 years old. Almost 5-10 years younger than almost everyone on this site. I drive a 1995 Honda not worth alot of money. I get along with most people on this site. It all depends on your mind set and how your attitude is.

That's life....some people will be cool and some people will treat you like shit. I guaratee it's the same way in every other city in one way or another. Just because someone hurt your feelings doesn't mean the "scene" is like that as a whole. Personally, I don't want to hear about the "scene" being bad because someone got stabbed in the back...quit feeling sorry for yourself and find new people to hang out with! Damn! -
How about everyone shuts up! Quit bitching about other people and get out in the scene. There has not been a good scene since i got in it, to tell you the truth it just plain sucks. I say everyone needs to quit blaming people for the scene and just go out and have a good time. I really think we all need to take advantage of the track we have so close to us before we dont have one to use anymore. Just my .02
