Depends on about a million different factors....Inertia vs. Roller Dyno, Altitude, Temperature, etc, etc, etc....Dyno #'s really don't mean shit when you think about it, all dynos are really good for is tuning your car, the numbers they spit are worthless IMHO.

I was thinking that too...probably has more to do w/ bad drivers than anything. Could also have something to do w/ air temp, elevation, barometric pressure, etc... -
just because people in the magz run a 13.1 stock doesnt mean anyone can...they are all professional drivers.

not all the people that test them are pro's....do you think car and driver...or motortrend...or any car magazine just goes out and picks a random person...they have like 5 drivers that test all their cars and run in numerous times and see who gets the best...we all know it depends on what tranny...and elevation, temp..and everything...but it shouldnt be any slower than a 13.5 stock even if you are a horrible driver.

So if car and driver...or motortrend...or any car magazine says my car runs a 15 stock and i pull a 14.9 then im just as good if not better than a pro driver? -

well motortrend and car and driver always have the same drivers...i coulndt tell ya who a pro driver is...but someone who has driven multiple different kinds of manual cars....beucase they usually test all the manual cars.

mags like motortrend and car and driver test the cars conservatively, they don't launch them as hard as they could. I would think i would be able to drive my car that i am used to better than some car and driver tester, just because i am more used to my tranny and clutch and etc....
