Notice the topic "Talk about anything here." That's what I see underneath the general section of the forum. Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought that meant something along the lines of "You can talk here!11!!!1." Guess I was wrong, Hitler.. er Tufte is locking every thread he can get his hands on. What's up with that? Most of it is, yes, useless but it's almost all comical and not hurting anyone. I think you should tone down the locking and let this be more of a free place. I know you want to make this a friendly enviornment for car enthuisiasts but there isn't always going to be something to talk about besides flaming each other for the fun of it, I mean, this is FARGO street. Not much goes on here. But alas, 'tis your site, run it as you wish.

Have you ever made a productive post that wasn't offtopic and lead into some HS BS? If you wanna continue doing as you have been in the past feel free, but you wont remain around long. The whole idea of the boardis to be for car enthusiats, tech questions, informantion, and meets. All this board has turned intois HS BS,arguing and completly pointless post whoring threads that are going nowhere, hence the locking of half the threads. We can skip the locked threads and just flat out delete them if you'd like.
Now everyone get back on track and use this board how it was intended.Nick

I have to agree with Nick here. I do like that they are trying to keep this thing on track and preventing the whoring of threads and turning everything into, as Tufte puts it, HS BS. Sure there is a certain amount of running your mouth involved in car talk all the time, but at least at the track and/or organized events there is a way to see if you're all talk or if you can in fact walk the walk as well.
I do have a question, did all the old posts get deleted? I had the Devils Run announcement and schedule (for the import portion of the show) posted under the announcements section and it seems to have disappeared. I will repost it on Friday when I get back from Minot and am at my home PC that has the info saved on it.
Ok, back on topic here again (after I just bitched about topic hijacking LOL) keep up the good work and the improvements you guys are trying to incorporate. Maybe a section for Off-Topic posts would be a good idea where posts can just take any direction they choose (with some limitation of course). Just my 2 cents.

HS BS? I'm not even in HS so nfi what your talking about. And most of the BS isn't coming from the highschoolers, it's coming from the "I'm barely out of highschool but it still makes me better than the ones who are in highschool"ers.
