I've heard people swear by NVidia....
I have an ATi Radeon x800xl; It was like $250 over a year ago.
I wouldn't mind updating to something better, but I'd need to also update my power supply too.. -

I'd go with the 7900 gs. good card for about 200 i believe. if you want to spend about 275, you can get a 7950gt.
ATI and Nvidia (in my POV), is all a personal preferance. Just like AMD and Intel.
