Stephen Colbert vs Bill O'reilly
-
NEW YORK (AP) - It may feel like looking into the mirror for Bill O'Reilly and Stephen Colbert next week.
The Fox News Channel host and Colbert, who has essentially based his comic character every evening on Comedy Central on him, will trade appearances on each other's programs Jan. 18.
"I'm really looking forward to speaking to a man who owes his entire career to me," O'Reilly said.
On "The Colbert Report," Colbert portrays a self-involved talk-show host who has tried to bring "truthiness" to the world. His character owes an obvious debt to O'Reilly, who holds court in the "no-spin zone" each evening.
On "The O'Reilly Factor," O'Reilly portrays a ... um, he hosts the top-rated program in cable news.
"I look forward to the evening," Colbert said. "It is an honor to speak face-to-face with a broadcasting legend, and I feel the same way about Mr. O'Reilly." :icon_joker:

fuck o'rielly, colbert is awesome

I like O'Reilly

sadly enough i do as well. not because of his point of view nec but they way he riles people up on live television and forces some interesting answers out of them

I don't even differ too much from his views on a lot of things. Granted I don't listen to him all the time, but he can at least make his point w/o constantly belittling anyone who disagrees with him. And I think he realizes that not everyone on the "left" is a whacko-nutjob and that most people are more towards the center on a lot of things.

I do agree that he does a pretty good job but i don't like the way he handles a lot of things (such as when he is cocky about being the best and all). I thot it was hilarious when he, john stewart, and colbert got into it, o'rielly was dissing them on the air (or trying to) it was pretty funny.

Just cuz I don't agree with him doesn't mean I don't like him. He's my kind of Republican.

O'Reilly Rules, I listen to him every day on the radio and catch his show at night whenever I can. IMO he has the most common sense of ANY radio or TV host out there. He has great debates with people who are informed and can back up their side of the debate, and he crushes the idiots who come in uninformed and unable to logically debate a issue. He has also done great things to get child protection laws passed.
edit I've never heard of this Colbert guy.
