    Rebuilding the motor will be much cheaper.

      ya rebuild it. dont those have a 7 year powertrain warranty?

        you can buy pistons & rods for those (they are junk) and I know where there's a good head (if you only dropped one) I also know of a blower and cam while your in there...

              For $9700 you could rebuild that and pimp it out. Anyways, i would just find one that is crashed really badly, buy the whole set up, and then part the rest of it out. You can pick up the full truck with about 30k miles for less than $7k, and you could easily recover some of that parting it out.
