I can understand if it's someone's website they can moderate that, I meant in other public situations, and I wasnt meaning to use it as a derogatory remark to specific individuals. I can see if he said it purposely to someone that was jewish, then that's not right. And who are you to say I use stereotypes? I happen to have a couple of arab co-workers and they are some of the nicest people I know, I never stereotype people I always give people a chance before making a decision about that particular individual.

Just because you say something like that doesn't mean you are stereotyping, jeez people you're getting uptight over a fucking word, get over it. Maybe someone sounds uneducated when they use it, does it mean they are? You're just as bad as the person using the word if you assume they are stupid for using it! I know plenty of people that by todays standards are EXTREMELY intelligent and still use words that could be considered derogatory.
Bottom line, who gives a fuck what you say? If he says "this is Jewish" to a Jew who takes offense, "this is gay" in front of a gay person, etc. they will either blow it off, knock him out, or try sue him or something being as everyone gets so uptight and sue happy so easily these days.
People need to stop caring about what every other fucking person on the face of the earth feels about something. Everything offends someone I bet, who really gives a flying fuck? If 10 people are offended by something these days whatever the "offensive" thing is is automatically deemed politically incorrect and is some sort of taboo. Grow up and worry about actual problems you losers.

^^ Very well put. Isn't anyone else fed up with all the "politically correct" bullshit? If someone would say derogatory remarks to my race, religion, etc. either I would ignore it, or start fighting depending on how it was used. I'm not gonna go cry and whine about it and say oh it's a hate crime and make a bunch of gay laws about it.

It's a respect issue, obviously alot of you don't get it. Most of you don't have a slur to get you fired up like black people have nigger, asian people have gook and chink and jews have kyke, etc... If its disrespectful of a group of people why use it? Does using that slang term mean more to you then being respectful?
I'm not saying that you can't say it, but when it offends people, what does it hurt you to hold your tounge?

Jim, i couldn't have put it better myself.........I really don't think any of you have experienced discrimination of a serious level first hand, and until you do......you probly won't understand. But getting pissed off because what you said offends other people is stupid. It comes down to maturity and being able to control what you say and showing others respect. Now im not extreme for political correctness but a little respect is deserved to everyone and stereotyping a whole race/religion/ or any other group isn't fair.

You misinterpreted what I was saying. If you are saying something like nigger to a black person, gook to an asian, spic to a mexican, whatever the term for the nationality/belief, then by all means you deserve whatever you have coming to you.
On the other hand, it's not worth it to get bent out of shape if someone says it to nobody in particular. If getting worked up over what someone calls you is that big of a deal in your life, you lead a sad and unimportant life. Worry about bigger issues like unimployment, healthcare, starvation, or any other large scale issue.
I know quite a few gay people and black people who don't give two shits about you saying "thats gay" "you're a fucking homo" "nigger" or any term after you get to know them. Like you said, yes, it is a respect issue, I wouldn't say it if I didn't know if everyone around was comfortable with the term usually(unless I was trying to provoke them to fight or something). Online, I don't give a shit what I or anyone else says...it's the internet, who honestly gives?!?!

I wasn't referring to you specifically, but im pretty sure that it wasn't that huge of a deal to them either because they only put him on probation or whatever so that he would know that they don't allow stuff like that because it could make other members feel uncomfortable in a way that they feel is inappropriate which i completely understand.
And no matter who you put it, saying someone got "jewed" because they got scammed is stereotyping because it is saying that all jewish people are out to scam people.
