Daylight Savings Time

So Congress passed a 2005 energy bill that moved the DST back three weeks, on the assumption that energy consumption will decrease, crime and car accidents will go down...
The funny thing is, its estimated that $2 billion dollars were spent updating computers and other electronics, Airlines find themsleves in a bad prediciment with scheduling foriegn airports that do not follow the same DST... and a study indicates that the energy consumptin may actually increase do to all the changes...
Seems sort of dumb to me...
Perhaps the real reasons for the bill being passed weren't to save energy, but from lobbyists representing the major sectors that stand to benift from it (Sports, Recreation, Travel Industry)

I'm still trying to figure out why we have to change at all. Why not just leave it alone, at one time, for the entire year?

I agree, ban time!! course that means someone has to win at Tetris and decide they want to ban time.
