i dont see any problem with what they are doing, he is clearly visible and it doesnt break any speed trap laws. maybe some people just need to quit speeding so much. there were a couple in the 60+mph range and it was a 45mph road.

how fast did the one guy have to be going for them to take him out of the car and cuff him? or was he being uncooperative or was he drunk?

I don't really see anything wrong with it either. They're just catching people that are breaking the law, though they're doing it in a pretty unconventional way. They're not convincing people to speed in any way, so I wouldn't call it entrapment. If nobody was speeding and they wore their seatbelt then they wouldn't be pulling people over.

Speed Traps are Illegal...I just don't know the exact definition of one (reading wikipedia and googling it as I type).

Scratch that, looks like once again Minnesota is a communist state when it comes to that. California on the other hand isn't.

how is minnesota communist. you sound like a d-bag saying stuff like that. in fact it is quite the opposite. I have no problems with some fuck-off paying fines for speeding, thus keeping revenue for the state up all while keeping taxes at a modest rate. And hey, if your the dumb fucker thats speeding and continually paying it, then thanks for the help. Also if you would research further into the speed trap theory you would see that this is a completely legal deal. Shit, just from that day they probably built up a nice little slush fund for a christmas party or something like that.

Never had a speeding ticket in my life, and I never plan on getting one 😄

Sorry you can't take a joke/light hearted poke at the state. You do realize that I also posted that speed traps are in fact legal in MN, or that MN doesn't care about them? States like California (this video was from Cali was it not?) Ban the use of evidence obtained from speed traps in court, so if someone gets a ticket in a speed trap they can just say that in court and the ticket goes "byebye" Also...I know you didn't mean this but it's kind of defying your own logic. If speeding ticket revenue goes towards helping keep taxes low, how does putting the money into a "slush fund for a Christmas party" help keep taxes low? I know I know, you were joking, but still...
Besides, like I said, it's perfectly legal and they can do whatever they want to catch people going 65 in a 45 or whatever, just some states have laws giving citizens more rights than others.
If they were really trying to "serve and protect" though, why do they feel the need to hide? If they really wanted to make people slow down I think the presence of a police car there on random days would affect people more than a leprochaun. Sure the people that got busted will remember, but everyone else will be like "what?" and forget about it. I personally remember EVERY spot that I've seen the Moorhead / Fargo police hiding and make sure I go the speed limit in spots that are regularly patrolled.

that is a very well put argument. I guess where we have different view is that i dont see them hiding in this video. the fact is he is in broad daylight, with a sign warning of speeding. To me its no different than if he was sitting there in a car. Also, have you ever been to the west coat?? as far as im concerned they dont give out near enough speeding tickets out there, shit they should do this more often. It sucks not being able to even change lanes without getting sideswiped by someone going 20mph over the posted limit.
