    i bought a used engine a while back with a 90 day warranty on it. it completley blew on the 92nd day. common sense tells me i'm fucked...is there anything i can do?? i was told the engine had 60K on it. if i can prove it had like 65k or somethin, would that help at all?? let me know if you have any opinions or advice. thanks!! and spoolude...dont tell me to buy a v-tec!!!

      I doubt it, if there had been something wrong with it, should have noticed it within the 90 days though...

        it was just the 420a for my talon. no performance mods unless you count the big CAI

          how are you going to prove that the engine had more miles? what did you do during those 90 days? whats blown up with it now?

            isnt there some number on the engine i can have the dmv or somebody look up? i didnt do anything too crazy in those 90 days. it broke down on the interstate and i didnt really take it on the interstate too much besides that except in town. i dont know exactly whats blown up but i brought to a mechanic, and my dads friends whos kind of a mechanic and they both said "it was toast"

              The VIN number isn't going to tell you how many miles are on it, especially since it was sold

                theres no way you can tell how many miles were on it when you bought it espessially since you drove it more....what did it do when it broke down and does it turn over, or what does it all do when you try to start it....unless you revved the shit outta it i dunno how it could just blow up cuz its a n/a with pretty low miles.

                  yeah i guess you guys would be right about the vin dammit. when it broke down i had it on cruise then i heard a noise, i thought it sounded like the transmission dropped and then the car slowed down and stopped and there was a buncha smoke from under the hood. i was able to turn it over to start it up once after i got it towed home with lots of smoke and my RPMs really high without touchin the gas then i moved a foot and it stopped and wouldnt turn over again.
