So there's no charge pipe on the turbo eh? But the turbo is on the car...Correct me If I'm wrong here, but wouldnt that cause your turbo to overboost and overall shit itself if you are getting on it...there's no pressure for it to build if it's just spinning in air freely...maybe I'm totally off on this?

anyway, nice to see its comin along!

NO...... a turbo is an input / output device

there is no way to overspin the turbo without the turbo feeding the engine

as i am doing the same thing now... till tommorrow

i assure you, its not affecting it in any way. that thing is very big, and without pumping air into itelf (being hooked up) it wont reach max impeller speed. Also, with a Thumper, very large frame turbo, that is of no concern for the most part, |this thing has like a 1\2" turbine shaft. (maybe not that big, but its freakin big.)

So the turbo is not actually connected to the engine, ie: not having exhaust going through the turbine side?

Sounds like a exciting adventure and a lot of little bugs getting worked out. Should be interesting when it's ready and tuned.

I am thinking he is spinning the turbo, however he is not letting the boost go anywhere but to the atmosphere.

If thats the case you can def overspin the turbo if you aren't careful. Don't get on the throttle!
